For the past six years, our Creative Director Tse Yin has volunteered her time to photograph the annual Mining Emergency Response Competition (MERC) in Perth, Western Australia. This year’s event took place on 25 to 27 November 2016 at Langley Park.
The event, which is open to the public, brings together Western Australia’s top rescue teams. Over the course of three days, they compete in a range of realistic emergency scenarios. This year, the teams were working in 30 plus degree heat, which was a challenge in itself.
Tse Yin was on hand to photograph the event, including the vertical rescue scenario. It’s a good job she has a head for heights!
The images are used to promote the mines emergency response services, and will feature in a range of marketing collaterals including online, brochures and social media. Find out more about MERC and the important work they do by visiting their Facebook page.
