What would a party or any kind of celebration be without cake? This delicious looking honey cake was commissioned for a friend’s pet’s birthday party. Friends always ask me to be the unofficial photographer for these kinds of events, and it was a pleasure to photograph this gorgeous creation. Honey Cake being my absolute favourite, I couldn’t wait to tuck in!
Some food shots look great taken overhead, but I find it’s best to shoot tiered cakes from a lower angle. This was taken with my new Sigma 50 mm F1.4 Art lens.
