A striking sunset, featuring the iconic Cottesloe Buoy – probably one of the most photographed subjects in Perth! This photo was taken on the last day of winter in August 2014.
I love photographing sunsets, and this particular image was used as header for an online newsletter published the following month by EnjoyPerth!, a guide to what’s on in Perth and Western Australia. It’s always lovely when someone likes your photo enough to use it as promotional material.
Incidentally, the pylon was built in 1935 and restored in 2008. It’s one of three pylons built to anchor a shark net after a fatal attack in 1925.
